Dive into the Deep Sea with Carina Fish and learn how we explore the past through sanctuary corals. Carina will be discussing “The Stories Coral tell of a Changing Sea”. She will show us the sanctuary corals and the history they document.
Corina Fish is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at the University of California, Davis. Her research seeks to understand the Marine Biogeochemical history of the Cordell Bank National Marine Sancturary. Based primarily at the Bodega Marine Laboratory, she also gets to conduct her research out on the open seas multiple times per year. Her research also involves the use of ROV’s (Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicles). Carina’s accomplishments include Marine Biogochemist, SciComm enthusiast, environmental justice advocate, and PADI Divemaster.
