Dr. Shott of Sonoma State University will showcase how simple mathematical principles can be used to develop insight into the behavior of freeway traffic, animal populations, and even player strategy in a game of Monopoly. We'll have the opportunity to physically simulate some of these models in the after cafe, so please plan to stick around after the talk!
